Deb and I were kayaking the Wacissa River, which is located about 25 miles east, southeast of Tallahassee, Florida on December 04, 2016 when we came upon this beautiful Tricolored Heron perched on a tree branch overhanging the river. Slowly I paddled our twice seat kayak as close as I dared - then we started photographing this gorgeous heron in all its glory. I was the lucky one to get this image although Deb also got several good images. We may post one or two of those later.
