On November 22, 2017 Deb & I drove north to visit the Georgia Veteran Memorial State Park located a few miles east of Cordele, Georgia. Deb & I both love this park but I, Bill, especially love this park for several reasons. One is I am a U.S Army veteran so this park truly means something special to me. Another is it is a very well maintained and beautiful park plus it has a gorgeous and large lake (Lake Blackshear).
After driving through the main entrance we drove by this lake and noticed this elderly gentleman fishing while sitting on the pier. So, we parked, gathered our cameras and walked over. I approached the gentleman and politely asked him if he would mind if we photographed him as he sat there fishing. He said "no, it would be fine with him". Then I asked his age if I wasn't being too noisy. He smiled and said "Oh, I'm only 85 and still love fishing". With that I thanked him and then left him to his love of fishing.
Deb captured this image using her Canon 7D, Mark II camera aided with her Sigma wide angle "art" lens. I edited the original image using several digital programs including photoshop but the watercolor effects were applied using my Akvis program.
All visit to our FAA-Pixels art sites are welcomed, encouraged and appreciated. Please visit often and, if you will, tell your friends and family about our art sites. They may find something they like and thank you for the tip.

Lovely .... the finish that you have given it gives the picture a very dreamy artistic feeling...
