My husband, Bill, and I were kayaking on the Wacissa River in north Florida just east of Tallahassee when this gorgeous Great Blue Heron (scientific name is Ardea herodias) flew by very close to our kayak. Naturally I started shooting as fast as I could to capture images of this beautiful bird.
