My husband, Bill, and I were kayaking part of the Wacissa River, which is a crystal clear spring fed river and is located east, southeast of Tallahassee, Florida when we came upon this beautiful baby Great Blue Heron (scientific name is ardea herodias) perched outside its nest on a small island in the river. What a rare sight and treat for us as this was the only time we had ever seen a baby Blue Heron next to its nest in the wild. Bill very slowly paddled our kayak as close as he dared while I, Deb, started photographing this young beauty as fast as I could. I must have captured at least 50 or more images to, hopefully, be sure we had a few very good blur-free ones. When one is in a kayak it is sometimes very hard to achieve blur-free images due to the constant or almost constant water motion or movement. However, we are happy with the result of this posted image.
ALL visits to our FAA-Pixels art site are welcomed, encouraged and appreciated. Please visit often and, if you will, please tell your friends and family about our art sites. They may find something they like and thank you for the tip. Thank you for your time to visit.
